CALL FOR ART PRESENTATIONS COVID-19 RESEARCH

During the last months, researchers from Erasmus MC, young people and artists have met to develop ideas for presentations of corona/Covid-19 related research in a new exhibition and educational program of Science Gallery Rotterdam. The meetings took place in online masterclasses, workshops and a project with students Transformation Design from the Willem de Kooning Academy.

During the summer months, the exhibition takes shape, with Erasmus MC's scientific research forming the basis for presentations that incorporate creative, innovative, social and ethical perspectives. Are you a researcher working on corona/Covid-19 related research and do you have an idea to present this in Science Gallery or do you want to develop a presentation together with an artist and/or young people?

Then register before 15 July by sending an email to i.vandijk@erasmusmc.nl. Presentations may have any conceivable form, such as an object, interactive installation, image or an event. It is required that corona/Covid-19 related research by Erasmus MC forms the basis and that the presentation is aimed at a broad general audience. A budget of EUR 2,500 (incl. VAT) is available for the production of the presentation.

We would like to receive a proposal of max. 1 A4 in which you briefly explain the subject of your research and your idea. The selection of presentations is made by Science Gallery. Realized works will be featured in the exhibition that opens on Friday evening 24 September during Science Hotel, the Science Gallery's public event, on the occasion of the European Researchers’ Night.
