BUCKLE UP: Poetry of Protest

  • Het Wijkpaleis 72 Claes de Vrieselaan Rotterdam, ZH, 3021 JS Nederland (map)

WORKSHOP

A pandemic, the housing shortage, the student loan system, a lot of inequality and war; besides jobs, studies and hobbies, young people have a lot to choose from. No wonder protests and demonstrations are very popular again. During this workshop you will explore how important it is for our mental resilience to make a statement and you will learn about the artistic side of protest signs. Together with Mieke Megawati Vlasblom, activist and known for the national housing protest, word artist Dean Bowen, artist Franky Sticks and Erasmus MC researchers, you will learn how to take action with words and images.

What does protesting do for our mental health? Why is it good to speak out? Which statement do you want to create into a protest sign? Speak out!
